THE COMPANY
Based in Berlin-Tempelhof Hoffmann Dental Manufaktur GmbH is a specialist for luting and lining cements on zincphosphate base. Since 1892 our company produces materials for dentists and dental technicians. Export reaches more than 50 countries.
Our international sales team is made up of various sales roles, all involved in building and supporting our dealer network worldwide.
YOUR ROLE
- liaising with clients taking and processing orders
- informing clients of order and shipment status
- preparing paperwork for customs (AE, Eur1, ATR)
- generating shipper’s declarations etc. for dangerous goods (air, sea, road)
- dealing with letters of credits
- undertaking basic research work on specific country markets
- assist marketing with organisation of trade fairs etc.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- accomplished vocational education as or equivalent to Außenhandelskaufmann, Exportkaufmann
- bilingual German/ English
- a good command of a third language would be advantageous
- ability to produce letters and other correspondence to a high degree of clarity and accuracy
- computer literate with basic keyboard skills
- numerate, with good written and verbal communication skills
- methodical approach to problem solving and task prioritisation
- self confident, self-motivating and able to work with minimal direction
- able to work as part of a team
- Knowledge of different (business) cultures esp. Middle East knowledge would be a great advantage

Hoffmann Dental Manufaktur is a smaller medium sized enterprise based in Berlin-Tempelhof. Since more than 110 years we are producing medical devices for dentists and dental technicians, which we distribute throughout the world. As a specialist for luting and lining cements on zincphosphate base we are market leader in Germany as well as some other countries. 40.000 applications per day show how dentists worldwide confide in our products.
Your Role
In this position you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with key distributors in order to build up or strengthen our position in relevant export markets. Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in Africa and the Middle East will be your main focus. The job will require travelling in these regions on a regular basis.
Education and Experience:
- BA degree in business administration or alike
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in sales, preferably in pharmaceuticals or dental industry
- Fluency in written and spoken English, Arabic and French
- International personality
- Confident use of MS Office applications
- Self-motivating and goal-oriented working manner

Ihre Aufgabe
Aufbau und Pflege von Kontakten zu zahnmedizinischen Fakultäten im In- und Ausland mit dem Ziel des Wissenstransfers in beide Richtungen zwischen unserem Unternehmen und den Studenten, Dozenten und Forschern an den Universitäten.
In Ihren Aufgabenbereich fallen die ständige Beobachtung gesetzlicher Grundlagen und des Stands der Technik, sowie die Vertretung des Unternehmens in den entsprechenden Fachausschüssen und Gremien. Das Erstellen von wissenschaftlich-technischen Dokumentationen, die Mitarbeit an Risikoanalysen und Konformitätsbewertungen im Rahmen des QMS gehört eben so zu Ihren Aufgaben wie das Bearbeiten von allgemeinen wissenschaftlichen Anfragen (Patientenanfragen).
Anforderung
- Hochschulabschluss, möglichst mit Promotion in einem naturwissenschaftlichen Fach
- kommunikationsstark: als Vortragender und als Verfasser gut lesbare Texte
- selbstständige Arbeitsweise und Bereitschaft zur Übernahmen von Verantwortung
- analytische Fähigkeiten für die Identifikation von Problemen und deren Lösungen
- Beherrschung der Büroarbeitsmittel (MS Office Paket)
- Sprachen: Deutsch und Englisch sicher, weitere Sprachkenntnisse vorteilhaft
- Bereitschaft zur Reisetätigkeit
